Service Day Project – October 12th 5:30-8:00

Come out and join your fellow Heels while we give back to the community we love! We will be supporting two different local organizations for our Tar Heel Service Day project! Join us for all or part of the event, drop in as your schedule allows. And don’t forget to wear your Carolina Blue!!

The #Dearyoungperson Campaign

The #dearyoungperson campaign was started after the events of August 12th to show love and encouragement to the youth in the Charlottesville area. To support the #dearyoungperson campaign we will be writing post cards with words of love and encouragement to the youth of Charlottesville. The post cards will be distributed to local organizations serving the youth of Charlottesville and delivered to individual children. For more information about the beneficiaries and the campaign go to www.dearyoungperson.org

The Haven

We will also be collecting new socks and clothing for homeless individuals in the Charlottesville area. Socks are the number one need for homeless individuals and one of the least donated items. Socks will be delivered to The Haven and clothing will be donated to the Belmont Clothing Center. The Belmont Clothing Center is a place where homeless individuals can obtain clothing free of charge.

So we can get an idea of how big of a table to reserve, RSVP to Emily Callahan at emcallahan05@gmail.com
